Hey There!

I'm Alia Zaidi

Alia Zaidi is a nonprofit founder, community builder, and mental health advocate based in Spokane, Washington. She is the founder of Spokane Inner Peace Park, an innovative STEAM-focused wellness initiative designed to counter social isolation, support mental health, and create accessible, healing spaces for individuals and families.

Alia has a long track record of building mission-driven initiatives and businesses. She previously founded a business in Maricopa, Arizona, where her work was featured in the local newspaper, and later created Holidays for Kids, a Spokane-based nonprofit inspired by her daughter that provides children with access to costumes and support for Halloween and other often-overlooked holidays. That work was highlighted on a local television news program, reflecting her ongoing commitment to community-centered impact.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in sales, operations, and team development at national organizations including the Better Business Bureau, T-Mobile, Target Financial, and American Airlines—where she worked in crisis management—Alia brings a rare blend of strategic execution and human-centered design to the nonprofit sector. She has translated this experience into the development of trauma-informed programs, community events, and cross-sector partnerships that integrate science, creativity, and play as tools for connection and resilience.

Drawing from her own lived experience with PTSD, Alia is a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and inclusive community solutions. Her work focuses on creating environments where people of all ages and backgrounds can engage, heal, and thrive—particularly in regions impacted by long winters and limited access to affordable wellness spaces.
