Angelica Johnson, LCSW, PEL, is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist at Inclusive Insight in Chicago, Illinois. A proud graduate of the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, Angelica brings a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to her work, specializing in supporting BIPOC children, youth, and emerging adults. Her practice focuses on helping clients heal from experiences of homelessness, identity-based trauma, and the challenges of navigating racial and cultural intersectionality. As a bilingual practitioner fluent in English and Tagalog, Angelica is deeply committed to making mental health care more accessible and inclusive for underrepresented communities.
Before joining Inclusive Insight, Angelica served as a School Social Worker at Noble Schools, where she provided counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support for students and families. She has also worked with community organizations such as The Harbour, empowering youth through advocacy and trauma-informed care. Angelica integrates evidence-based therapies — including CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing — with relational and cultural frameworks to help her clients build resilience and self-empowerment on their healing journeys.
Guided by empathy and a passion for equity, Angelica continues to use her platform to promote mental health awareness within BIPOC and immigrant communities. Her work embodies her belief that healing is both personal and collective — a process that begins with understanding, compassion, and the courage to reclaim one’s story.
