Influential Women

This milestone was the most commissions I received at once from the same client/friend for the same home. These art pieces you see became part of a home that served as a sanctuary for my friend and her family during the COVID era. In the end, a complete surrender in gratitude is what I was feeling here.

A huge accomplishment of mine was becoming a licensed architect in 2024. There are 6 exams total, and I studied for 3 years, taking a total of 21 exams to finally pass on April 29, 2024. I received my license certificate a month later on my birthday! It is truly my proudest accomplishment, as I failed numerous times but never gave up.

Celebrated 35 years with Boeing—a journey that began long ago as a college intern in Long Beach and took me through many roles, locations, teams, challenges, and opportunities. During the luncheon, I had the chance to share a few of the lessons I've learned along the way with some of the newer college graduates beginning their own careers. If I could pass along a few pieces of advice, they would be: Build your network before you need it. Relationships can open doors you didn't even know existed. Start operating at the next level before you ask for the next level. Learn to see beyond your current role and demonstrate the capability you're working toward. Find mentors who will help you see what you may not see yourself. Sometimes the right person can recognize an opportunity in you before you recognize it in yourself. Thirty-five years gives you a lot of experiences to look back on, but one of the most rewarding parts is being able to pass a little of that experience forward.

This degree represents so much more than a diploma. It represents the late nights, the sacrifices, the moments I wanted to give up, and the determination that kept me going. It represents believing in myself even when the journey wasn’t easy. I’m incredibly proud of the woman who kept pushing forward and finished what she started. ❤️
