One of my proudest professional and deeply personal milestones was taking my voice and message beyond the United States as a featured speaker at the 3rd Annual Voices of Change Conference in Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. This experience represented more than an international speaking engagement. It was an opportunity to connect across cultures, exchange perspectives, and contribute to meaningful conversations about empowerment, personal growth, and transformation. Standing on that stage reminded me that our voices, experiences, and contributions have the potential to reach far beyond the places where our journeys began. I remain grateful for the experience, the connections made, and the opportunity to continue expanding the reach of my work.

Brave women came together to uplift, support, and raise awareness about Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer. Survivor stories were shared, faith was strengthened, and healing took place. As a domestic abuse survivor and DV advocate, I was incredibly proud of the strength and bravery displayed by each woman.

My Last Dance: A Tribute to My Husband, Mark While navigating my professional career, I also found joy and purpose through the art of Bharatanatyam and Bollywood dance. My passion for dance began at a young age, and because we could not afford formal training, I taught myself Bharatanatyam and searched tirelessly for free ballet and jazz classes throughout New York City. Years of dedication and practice eventually led me to Florida, where I found my niche. I entered and won dance competitions, and I had the privilege of teaching a small group of young women. They were in middle school and high school, at a stage in life when they could have chosen to spend their time elsewhere. Instead, they joined my classes, performed at community events, and even won a few competitions along the way. Watching their confidence and talent grow was one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey. After more than twenty years of performing and giving back to the community through dance, I performed what would become my final dance, dedicated to my second husband, Mark. This performance was especially meaningful because it represented more than the end of a chapter. It marked a beautiful new beginning. That dance celebrated a new season of my life, one that brought me to Los Angeles with the man I love and a career that fills me with excitement and purpose. It was my final performance, but it was also the first step into a wonderful new chapter of my life's story.

Today, as Youth Delegate of Côte d'Ivoire to the United Nations and an adviser at the Permanent Mission to the UN, I sit where the policies that matter are shaped. Meeting high-level leaders reminded me that legitimacy is built through hard work, perseverance, and the courage to take up space.
