Poppy's Story is a window into a mother's personal journey of a formidable pregnancy. Confronted with a surprising diagnosis early on, she faces an enduring trek forward through pain and ambiguity in the hope to keep her child alive and well. This story shares the raw emotions, detailed care, and looming uncertainty as she faces the mountains of fear, doubt, depression, and exhaustion, yet in the valleys finds peace, strength, and determination. This book tells the real account of what patient care looks like, what hope defies, and inspires others to never give up.

The first time I donated through my platform, Brightening Bedsides. I delivered 10 bags filled with Christmas Goodies: cards, blankets, photo frames with beautiful Vero Beach scenes, and more! Moments like these remind me why I started Brightening Bedsides, and they continue to inspire me to grow this Platform and reach more hearts through it!

Today, dreams came true for the Malone’s. They had a plan, worked it diligently, and never wavered from their goal: a home and land to share with their horses. All that discipline and planning paid off. Tonight, they’ll watch the auroras and shooting stars from their own pasture, surrounded by the foothills. This is proof that if you’re willing to dream big and work hard, nothing can hold you back—not a sluggish market, a tough economy, or overpriced homes. The American Dream lives when we say, “I dare you to stop me!”

True influence is not defined by the four walls of an office or the polish of a professional setting; it is forged in the moments where the climb is steepest, and the obstacles are most daunting. Standing at the edge of the Top of the World trail in Moab, navigating a 1,500-foot elevation gain with a struggling engine, I am reminded that leadership is often about maintaining your composure when the machinery of life starts to sputter. The challenge was amplified by the sight of heavy thunder and lightning storms rolling in along the mountain horizons, a reminder that the environment we lead in is rarely predictable. Whether you are running a business from a kitchen table, navigating the high stakes of a hospital ward, or leading from a boardroom, the grit required to reach the summit remains the same even when the sky turns dark. This journey has always been about more than just the mechanical conquest; it is a tribute to the resilience I learned with my late dog, Odin, by my side for every mile of every storm. He taught me that being an influential woman means staying agile and refusing to turn back, even when the path is made of broken rock and the elements are closing in. Sometimes in life, you have no choice. You cannot turn back. Influence happens everywhere you have the courage to keep climbing despite the thunder, and the view from the top is always worth the struggle it took to get there.

This one feels big. This week I had the opportunity to co-present at the CMAA World Conference and Club Business Expo to a room of 500+ club leaders on Building a Championship Culture. If you asked me a year ago if I’d be standing on that stage, the honest answer probably would’ve been “maybe someday.” Turns out someday came a lot sooner than expected. Public speaking has always pushed me outside my comfort zone, but growth rarely happens inside it. Sharing ideas, experiences, and real conversations about culture with so many passionate professionals in this industry was something I won’t forget. Grateful for the opportunity, the collaboration, and the reminder that sometimes the goals you set for a year show up in the first two months. Now the bar is set.
Naomi Crain
Formulation Chemist
Four years ago, I arrived at Spelman College with big dreams and a lot of determination. This photo was taken in front of the very first dorm I lived in on campus — a place that holds so many memories of late nights studying, growth, and learning who I was becoming. After four long and challenging years, I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a milestone that represents resilience, faith, and the support of a powerful community of Black women who uplift each other every day. That journey led me into my career as a formulation chemist and continues to shape the future I’m building. This moment reminds me that every late night, every challenge, and every step forward was worth it.

A legacy moment—captured in purpose, impact, and generational influence. In this powerful scene, Rosa Ore stands alongside her daughter, Jennifer, surrounded by the courageous graduates of Mujer Talento in Medellín, Colombia. Invited as a keynote speaker for this life-changing graduation ceremony, Rosa brought more than words—she brought lived experience, unwavering faith, and a blueprint for transformation. As a leadership coach, entrepreneur, and advocate for women breaking generational barriers, Rosa has built platforms that empower others to rise. But in this moment, her greatest impact wasn’t measured in titles—it was felt in connection. Standing beside Jennifer, this became more than a speaking engagement; it became a living testimony of legacy, showing that leadership is not only taught, it is passed down. These remarkable women, having completed an intensive six-month program in sewing, design, and entrepreneurship, are stepping into self-sufficiency after escaping the harsh realities of human and drug trafficking. Rosa’s message to them was clear: your past does not define your future—your courage does. This image captures more than a milestone—it reflects restoration, resilience, and the undeniable power of women uplifting women across borders. #InfluentialWomen #WomenEmpoweringWomen #GlobalImpact #LeadershipWithPurpose #LegacyBuilders #MujerTalento #MedellinColombia

A moment of purpose fulfilled. This degree represents perseverance, faith, and the courage to keep going even when the path is not traditional. Proof that it is never too late to become who you were meant to be. There was a time when I questioned whether my journey was taking too long. Life had responsibilities, detours, and seasons that required my attention in ways I had not originally planned. While others followed a traditional timeline, my path unfolded differently. There were moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion, and moments when the finish line seemed distant. But there was also something stronger than doubt: determination. I realized that purpose does not operate on a clock. Growth does not have an expiration date. Dreams do not lose value because time has passed. Earning my master’s degree was more than an academic milestone. It was a personal victory over every moment I wondered if I had waited too late, over every obstacle that tried to convince me to settle, and over every voice that whispered that the journey would be too hard. Standing in that cap and gown, I was reminded that persistence changes outcomes. My story is a reminder to every woman who feels behind, overlooked, or uncertain. Your timeline is still valid. Your goals are still possible. Your purpose is still calling. You do not have to follow someone else’s path to arrive at your destination. You only need the courage to keep moving forward. “Your journey does not have to look traditional to be transformational. Stay committed to your vision, trust your process, and remember that perseverance will always introduce you to your purpose.” Keep going. Keep believing. Keep becoming.

This moment means more to me than any title ever could. There was a time I was searching for guidance, trying to find my place in an industry where I didn’t always feel seen. Today, I get to stand beside incredible women who are just beginning their journey and support them along the way. This is what a milestone looks like to me. Not just personal success, but being able to lift others up, create opportunities, and remind them they belong here too. Because when one of us grows, we all grow.

Since I was a kid, it was my dream to race supercross. After breaking my back in a practice crash in 2013, I thought that dream was over. Nearly a decade later, I rebuilt my bike, rebuilt my strength, and found my way back to the track. Over the next few years, I worked my way up to racing Supercross at Daytona, and went on to win my first AMA Arenacross Championship in front of my friends, family, and my one-year-old daughter. Proof that it’s never too late to come back stronger.

This photo represents where we started. We didn’t have a business plan, a fleet of vehicles, or a clear roadmap. We just knew we wanted to help our neighbors. My husband fit all of his tools into the back of our CRV, and if a job was too big, he’d call me and I’d bring my SUV to haul scrap or materials. We worked like that until we could save enough for our first commercial vehicle. Today, we operate with three vehicles. This moment reminds me that growth doesn’t always start with having it all figured out, it starts with showing up, working hard, and believing in what you’re building.

Long overdue GRADUATION in 2015! I used to Nanny for these two girls when they were little. And then as they grew I babysat for them. As I was walking into graduation their mother and the girls were walking to their seats. We were able to stop for a quick picture! To know these kiddos from ages birth/ 2 and a half, to that time, was a blessing! But to now look back and still have them in my life, bridesmaids in my wedding, still asking me to come over and hang out, that is priceless! The degree is amazing! Don’t get me wrong! But the bonds that I form with the children an their families that truly last a lifetime make earning that degree even more special to me! Just the other night the younger one, now 19 told me “ you were our fun Aunt, we wanted you to come over and play with us and do things with us!” She remembers the fun, but the learning and education, the socialization, that was all there too!!!

Husband Raymond and I in Israel on a 2020 Pastor and wife mission trip, gifted by our loving congregation. I thought about a self photo depicting a proud moment, but all proud moments have always been by my husband's side. When I struggled as wife, he was there to love me. I struggled as a mom, he was there to reassure me. I wanted to pursue the medical field and put our youngest in a daycare, and he stood by me. While recovering from a hysterectomy, then started my daycare, he loved to play with the kids during naptime then leave, laughing! He wanted to become a pastor and I stood by him and closed my daycare to work in oil and gas. The company started downsizing for relocation, he said everything will be fine. Got a job with the District Attorney's office and help 4 different positions in almost 5 years. Here is when I became aware of the Crisis Intervention Unit with the Midland County Sheriff's office. and started volunteering in 2021. He knew I wanted to stop volunteering for the Crisis Intervention Unit and apply to be one of 2 paid staff members who are on call 24/7/265, and he said he would stand behind my decision. Almost 31 years together, he knows when I have had a troubled day and he is there to listen. I owe all triumphs to the grace of God and the support of my family.

Lumbie Mlambo and board member Anita Hawkins visited Matobo Hills, where women and girls walk up to 18 miles each day to collect water. On this day, a major milestone was achieved—we located a sustainable water source within the community and constructed a water system to provide easier access to clean water. Overcome with joy, Anita and Lumbie became the first to drink from the newly discovered source. This project now serves more than 8,000 people and has transformed daily life for women and girls by giving them back their time, dignity, and opportunity. We are deeply proud of this achievement and the lasting impact it has created for the community.

I shaved my head and revealed the truth I had been hiding, alopecia brought on by years of stress, silence, and service. I once had beautiful, soft hair, and I hid the damage beneath ponytails because I wasn’t ready to be seen. I wasn’t ready to be vulnerable. My alopecia did not come from vanity or age; it came from a career in law enforcement, from not speaking up for myself, from carrying stress quietly and professionally. I learned the hard way that what we don’t release, the body remembers. When people ask, “Why did you cut your hair?” or assume “Oh my God, do you have cancer?”, those questions are not about me. They are challenges, because this is not what the world expects to see. But this is what I need you to see. Truth does not require permission, and healing does not need an explanation. To those who offered kindness, affirmation, and unexpected compliments, thank you. You reminded me that authenticity resonates louder than perfection, and that beauty does not disappear when we stop hiding. This is me choosing honesty over comfort. Wholeness over fear. To women everywhere: live in your truth, because it is all you truly have, and it is more than enough. My hair was never the story, my truth is. This isn’t what the world wants to see, it’s what I need to show.”

I am incredibly grateful to the professors, mentors, peers, and supporters who guided and supported me throughout this journey. The journey wasn’t always smooth but growth never is. Every challenge shaped the leader I’m becoming. Looking ahead, I’m exploring opportunities to deepen my impact through research, advocacy, and leadership at the intersection of social justice, policy, and entrepreneurship. #Graduation #DEI #SocialImpact #WomensEmpowerment #Leadership #Gratitude #TuftsUniversity #NextChapter #Class2025

In 2020, I was laid off work for the first time in my life. I decided to use that setback as fuel to help me I achieved what I thought was the "unthinkable dream for me." Marilyn Nelson, PhD
CEO & Founder
She didn’t choose the brick wall behind her by accident. Years earlier, this alley had been a shortcut she took every morning on her way to school where her ideas were dismissed and her voice was softened to make others comfortable. She learned quickly that leadership isn’t given—it’s claimed. So she began preparing in quiet ways: studying after long days, asking hard questions, and saying no when it would have been easier to agree. The jacket over her shoulder tells part of the story. It’s the weight of responsibility she learned to carry without letting it bend her posture. When a crisis hit the company she later led, people looked to her not because she was the loudest in the room, but because she was steady. She listened when others panicked. She decided when others hesitated. There were moments of real fear—standing alone in boardrooms, making calls that could cost millions, choosing integrity when shortcuts were tempting. Courage, she discovered, wasn’t dramatic. It was calm. It showed up early and stayed late. It took accountability when things went wrong and shared credit when things went right. Success didn’t arrive as applause. It arrived as trust. Teams grew stronger under her leadership. People stayed, learned, and rose. She built something sustainable, not flashy—something that lasted. Now, when she pauses against this wall, she’s not resting. She’s reflecting. The faint smile isn’t for the camera—it’s for the woman she used to be, the one who kept walking even when the path was narrow. Strength brought her here. Leadership keeps her moving forward.

Nurse Resilience Strategist, Author, Transformational Speaker, and Certified Life Coach
One of the most defining milestones of my career wasn’t an award — it was choosing the permission to pause. After over 25 years in healthcare and experiencing burnout twice, I took a restorative sabbatical that reshaped how I define leadership, success, and resilience. That decision led to my work today as a Nurse Resilience Strategist — helping leaders move beyond survival and into sustainable, values-aligned leadership that protects both people and performance. This milestone reminds me that sometimes the bravest leadership move is choosing yourself — so you can lead others well. -Coach Jineen R. Huff, MSN

Empower! Lead! Inspire! For three decades, I have dedicated my life to transforming others through mentorship and leadership. Today, I celebrate embracing all of life's interruptions the unexpected moments that stretch us, shapes, and ultimately strengthen us. There are seasons when the unknown brings anxiety, stress, and overthinking. Yet I've learned that when I live with honesty, integrity, and a sincere heart rooted in service and love, opportunities have a way of aligning at exactly the right time. Timing truly is everything. It's also the one factor we can't control the unknown that can either make us or break us. I choose to let it build me. Today, let's celebrate one another. Let's honor the courage it takes to live authentically, trust the process, and stand confidently in the unknown.

This photo is of the MEP Goddesses at a Symetri event in Nashville. It was taken almost at the end of AU this year. We were happy to snap this photo to celebrate the things that are in store for us.
