What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to discipline, resilience, and a genuine commitment to serving others. My years as a Navy paralegal taught me the importance of precision and professionalism, while my work as a notary has strengthened my ability to stay adaptable, organized, and client-focused. I’ve built my career by showing up consistently, treating every person with respect, and never shying away from hard work. Most of all, I credit my success to the support of my family and the drive to create a life and business I’m proud of.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to show up with excellence in everything you do—no matter how big or small the task. Consistency builds trust, and trust builds opportunity. I was also taught to never stop learning. Every skill, every certification, and every experience becomes part of the foundation that elevates you. Those two principles—excellence and continuous growth—have guided my career and opened every door along the way.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering the notary and legal support field to trust their abilities and lead with professionalism from day one. Your confidence, your integrity, and your work ethic will set you apart more than anything else. Take every opportunity to learn—whether it’s new laws, updated procedures, or industry certifications—because knowledge is your greatest tool.
Also, don’t be afraid to build relationships. This industry thrives on trust and reputation, and the connections you make can open doors you never expected. Most importantly, remember that you belong in every room you walk into. Your voice, your skills, and your perspective matter.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the notary and legal support field is keeping up with constantly changing laws, technology, and industry expectations. Clients want fast, seamless service, and that requires staying current with regulations, digital platforms, and best practices. Another challenge is standing out in a market where many people offer similar services—but that also creates opportunity.
Right now, there is tremendous growth in mobile and online notarization, as well as increasing demand for knowledgeable, reliable notaries who can handle complex real estate and legal documentation. Professionals who invest in education, embrace new technology, and deliver exceptional customer service have a huge advantage. It’s a field where dedication truly pays off, and those who stay adaptable and client-focused can build a thriving, respected career.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me both professionally and personally are integrity, reliability, and respect. In my work as a notary and former Navy paralegal, integrity is non-negotiable—people trust me with their most important documents, decisions, and moments, and I take that responsibility seriously. Reliability is another core value; I believe in showing up, following through, and doing things the right way every time.
Respect ties it all together. Whether I’m working with clients, colleagues, or family, I make it a priority to treat people with kindness, patience, and professionalism. These values not only shape the way I serve my community, but also the way I live my life—grounded, dependable, and committed to making a positive impact.
