Brittney V. bridges the gap between complex biology, chemistry, and physics with AI, translating cutting-edge science into scalable, investable platforms. With over a decade of experience at the forefront of AI-driven drug discovery—from her role as a founding data scientist at Stemonix to leading data science teams at Recursion—she has developed a deep understanding of what distinguishes a successful platform company from a promising science project.

As the founder of Ciridian Consulting, Brittney addresses a critical challenge in the biotech ecosystem: early-stage companies often possess brilliant science but struggle to industrialize it into platforms that investors can confidently fund. She partners with Seed and Series A founders to design and implement strategic roadmaps, turning raw R&D into fundable business milestones and helping teams move beyond “Proof-of-Concept Purgatory.”

Brittney’s expertise spans Lab-in-the-Loop AI, data strategy and infrastructure, and venture readiness. She has architected data platforms from scratch, led cross-functional teams through hyper-growth, and guided companies through transitions from private startups to public enterprises. Currently, she works with a select group of high-potential startups, helping founders scale their discovery engines and assisting investors in de-risking their portfolios’ technical strategies.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of personal experience, curiosity, and persistence. Having lived with undiagnosed endometriosis for 12 years, I’ve seen firsthand how systemic issues in healthcare—like reliance on male-centric clinical data—can lead to delayed or missed diagnoses for women. That experience has driven my dedication to improving diagnostics and treatment options for women’s health disorders.

My mission is to bridge the worlds of biotech, AI, and physics to address these overlooked needs. By combining cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of the scientific and clinical challenges, I strive to develop solutions that are both innovative and practical.

Ultimately, my success comes from focusing on impact: identifying real gaps in healthcare, designing scalable solutions, and partnering with teams and investors who share a commitment to translating science into meaningful improvements in women’s health.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating the widespread hype around AI while staying focused on solving meaningful, real-world problems. It’s easy to get distracted by trends, but true impact comes from disciplined, deliberate application of technology.

The industry also continues to grapple with systemic issues like ageism and sexism. These biases can create barriers for women and underrepresented groups, making it harder to advance or be taken seriously, even when the work is exceptional.

At the same time, these challenges present opportunities. Visibility and mentorship are critical for supporting the next generation of women entering biotech and AI. By sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and fostering inclusive environments, we can help ensure that talent is recognized and that diverse perspectives drive innovation in the field.
