I attribute my success to my strong foundation in customer service and team leadership from my early career in retail, combined with my willingness to take on new challenges in the HVAC industry. Being hands-on and connecting directly with customers has allowed me to make a real impact, and I’m proud to be one of the few women breaking barriers in this field.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay strong and never give up, especially in a male-dominated field, where overcoming gender stereotypes and earning respect in a technical role is essential.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to never give up, pursue what you love, and embrace being the “first” or “only” as a source of motivation. Find a mentor like I did and build a strong support network of peers, managers, and industry groups to guide your growth and keep you encouraged.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now are continuously keeping up with technological advances, certifications, and evolving customer expectations, which require ongoing learning and adaptability to stay competitive.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are honor, discipline, and respect, lessons I learned growing up in a military family, combined with the importance of mentorship and continuous growth, which have guided my career in HVAC and shaped who I am today.
