Eva De Jesús is an accomplished Dual Language Coordinator and Peer Collaborative MLL Teacher whose career is defined by her commitment to bilingual education, multilingual learning, and instructional excellence. With advanced training in TESOL and over a decade of experience in ESL and ELA instruction, she has become a trusted leader in supporting diverse learners across K–12 settings. Her work integrates language acquisition, literacy development, and culturally responsive practices, positioning her as a key resource for both students and educators navigating multilingual classrooms.

As a certified Peer Collaborative Teacher with the NYCDOE, Eva specializes in coaching, staff development, and curriculum innovation. I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my parents, the strength of the community that shaped me, and the teachers and role models who guided my path. Their encouragement, values, and belief in my potential have been the foundation of my growth and the driving force behind my commitment to education and service.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to look within yourself and make sure you’re pursuing this path for the right purpose. Stay committed, set clear goals, and don’t give up when challenges arise—they’re part of the journey. Most importantly, take care of yourself. Your well-being is the foundation that allows you to show up fully, grow, and thrive in this work.
