Gabriela Aguiar

Gabriela Aguiar is a rising finance professional currently serving as a District Controller at Waste Connections, where she oversees financial operations and reporting across key regional divisions in California. With nearly three years of progressive experience in accounting and finance within the waste management industry, Gabriela brings analytical precision, multilingual communication skills, and a strong work ethic to her role. Prior to her current position, she served as an Assistant Controller and began her journey with the company after gaining valuable public finance experience as a Staff Accountant with the Franklin County Board of Commissioners in Georgia.

Gabriela holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Finance from the University of the Cumberlands. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and two other languages, Gabriela is passionate about continuous learning and public service, demonstrated by her volunteer work with organizations like Meals on Wheels and Appalachian Outreach.
