Genesis Parfait

Genesis Parfait is a dedicated junior at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where she is pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations, with an anticipated completion date of May 2027. Her passion for people-centered work, workplace culture, and community impact continues to shape her academic and professional path. Alongside her studies, Genesis works as a Customer Service Representative at Circle Bowl & Entertainment, where she has spent the past year strengthening her communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Genesis’s journey is marked by resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to service. She was named the 2023 New Jersey Youth of the Year by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America—an honor that recognizes exceptional character, academic excellence, and community contribution. As a proud KIPP alumna, she has participated in internships that expanded her career interests, and she remains actively involved in organizations that foster empowerment and equity. She is currently joining the NAACP, continuing her dedication to advocacy and uplifting youth voices.

Guided by mentors such as Angel Carter and Freddie Santana, Genesis strives to grow through every opportunity while inspiring the next generation of young leaders. Known for “making it through one step at a time,” she continues to build a strong foundation for a future in HR, leadership, and community engagement—driven by heart, purpose, and a commitment to creating meaningful change.
