Jannette McMunn

Jannette McMunn is a dedicated and accomplished educator with over three decades of experience in assessment development, mathematics instruction, and professional training. Currently serving as a Senior Assessment Specialist at Madison Metropolitan School District, she has a proven track record in coordinating test construction, delivering professional development to item writers, and ensuring compliance with state education standards. Her expertise extends across K–10 mathematics and other content areas, with a reputation for producing assessment items that consistently meet the highest standards of accuracy and acceptance.

Throughout her career, Jannette has demonstrated exceptional leadership in guiding teams and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. She excels in planning and executing item development projects, analyzing content processes, and mentoring other educators to achieve high-quality results. Her meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously have made her a valued contributor to both internal teams and external clients. In addition to her assessment work, Jannette has extensive classroom experience as a middle school mathematics and health educator. She has successfully implemented Common Core State Standards, strengthened students’ mathematical understanding, and promoted social-emotional learning to support holistic student development. Jannette holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education (Middle School) from Western Governors University and a Health Teacher Add-On Certificate from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. She is a licensed educator in Wisconsin and continues to share her knowledge and skills with peers while exploring opportunities to expand her professional impact.
