Karen Ryan, PMP, is a seasoned business development professional with extensive expertise in software delivery, project management, and solution architecture. As Principal Consultant at Alvarez Ryan Consulting, LLC, she specializes in coaching proposal teams for high-stakes government presentations, helping individuals and teams communicate with clarity, confidence, and precision. Her work spans instruction, guidance, and presentation development, ensuring clients effectively articulate their expertise and respond to complex evaluation criteria.

Prior to founding her consulting firm, Karen held leadership roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and ServiceNow, where she drove business development, solution design, proposal management, and IT transformation initiatives. She has led project teams, incubated emerging solutions, and developed enablement programs for sales and consulting professionals, consistently delivering measurable business growth and strengthening client relationships across diverse industries.

Karen holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from George Mason University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).
