Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my dedication to continuous growth and my passion for helping others find their path. From my early days in dental assisting and office management to becoming an award-winning healthcare recruiter and professor, my career has been built on a foundation of strategic development and purpose. Within just nine months of entering recruitment, I was promoted to Team Lead, earned “Recruiter of the Year,” and ranked #2 company-wide—an achievement that deepened my commitment to mentorship and leadership. In 2022, I stepped into a leadership role and now have the privilege of sharing my expertise as an adjunct professor at Valencia College, the very institution where I began my journey. What drives me most is the fulfillment of guiding healthcare professionals and students—many of whom are uncertain about their next step—toward their first opportunity. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a “you’re hired” email and knowing I helped someone build a meaningful career path.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to dress for the job you want, not just the one you have. Be intentional about gaining meaningful experience and never stop moving forward. Use every opportunity to connect with others—your network is one of your greatest assets. Building strong professional relationships and a recognizable personal brand will open doors you may not even know exist yet.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now lies in the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals and the chance to make a real impact by connecting talent with purpose-driven careers. At the same time, the industry faces challenges such as workforce shortages and the need to adapt to evolving healthcare technologies and patient care models. Personally, I find balance and inspiration outside of work by spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs—especially when we’re near the water. I’m also excited to be getting married in January, a milestone that reminds me how important it is to find joy and fulfillment both professionally and personally.
