At Eightfold AI, Maggie partners with enterprise clients such as Microsoft, HP, Twilio, CACI, Strada, and Applied Materials to implement transformative talent management strategies, leveraging AI driven technology to align the right talent with the right opportunities. Over the past ten consecutive quarters, she has contributed more than $14 million in annual contract value, demonstrating her ability to drive meaningful business impact through innovative solutions.
Before joining Eightfold AI, Maggie made a profound impact in higher education as a career advisor and academic specialist. At UC San Diego’s Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute, she served as the dedicated Career Advisor and Alumni Relations Specialist, helping launch the nation’s first undergraduate Data Science program. In this role, she built the institute’s alumni network and collaborated with leading employers including Viasat and Deloitte to secure internships and career opportunities for students. Her work is underpinned by certifications in Career Advising from UC San Diego Extended Studies and Gallup Strengths, highlighting her expertise in guiding individuals to recognize their strengths and align them with meaningful, fulfilling career paths.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to pursue work that gives you energy rather than drains you. Focusing on roles and projects that inspire and motivate you not only enhances your performance but also fosters long-term satisfaction and growth. I’ve found that when your work aligns with your passions and strengths, challenges become opportunities, and success follows naturally.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to embrace the unique perspective you bring as a woman. Lean into your authenticity, trust your instincts, and approach challenges with confidence, because confidence is a key driver of success. By staying true to yourself and valuing your voice, you can make a meaningful impact and thrive in your career.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities and challenges in my field right now is the rapid advancement of AI. On the opportunity side, AI is transforming how organizations identify, develop, and deploy talent, creating more efficient, data-driven, and personalized career pathways. At the same time, the pace of AI innovation presents a challenge, requiring professionals to continuously adapt, learn new skills, and thoughtfully integrate technology while maintaining a human-centered approach to career development.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are passion, honesty, and a sense of joy. I strive to approach everything I do with energy and enthusiasm, maintain integrity in my interactions, and find ways to enjoy the journey along the way.
