Her expertise spans patient advocacy, medication administration, and licensed vocational nursing, and she continues to advance her professional credentials by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Nightingale College, where she will be the first in her family to graduate from college.
Marisol’s passion for healthcare is deeply personal. Inspired by her grandmother’s experience with uterine cancer, during which language barriers prevented proper communication with healthcare providers, she became committed to bridging cultural and linguistic gaps for Spanish-speaking patients. Her dedication ensures that patients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their medical journey, making her a trusted advocate within the healthcare community.
Outside of her professional career, Marisol enjoys spending quality time with her cats and embracing her Latina heritage. Her work and personal experiences reflect a steadfast commitment to compassion, equity, and service, shaping her mission to improve patient care and empower diverse communities.

I attribute my success to my love for patient care and my commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. My personal experiences, including supporting my grandmother through her cancer treatment, inspired me to advocate for Spanish-speaking patients and ensure they receive equitable care.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay committed to your passion for helping others, and never underestimate the impact you can have as a patient advocate. Persistence and compassion are key to thriving in healthcare.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
As a healthcare professional, one of the biggest opportunities is bridging cultural and language gaps in patient care, ensuring all patients feel heard and understood. A challenge is navigating complex healthcare systems while maintaining individualized, high-quality care.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Compassion, advocacy, and cultural representation are central to both my professional and personal life. I value making a difference in the lives of patients and creating equitable access to care for all communities.
