Molly Barrett is a passionate and dedicated Case Manager at VPI, Inc., where she has spent the past year helping individuals achieve their vocational goals. In her role of Long-Term Support, Molly provides personalized guidance to help each client build confidence and develop skills to achieve their highest level of independence in their work environment. She believes deeply in the importance of helping people navigate emotions and challenges as part of achieving joy and lasting success. Molly also partners closely with community employers, ensuring they feel supported and confident in hiring and empowering individuals who experience disadvantages. Her empathetic approach and drive to make a difference have made her a valued and trusted member of the VPI team.

Molly earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where she built a strong foundation in social work practice with a clinical emphasis. She continues to grow through mentorship and inspiration from leaders like her former supervisor, Amy Carner, whose guidance encouraged her to take bold steps and lead with confidence. Molly is curious and committed to lifelong learning and stays current on new ideas and research through publications such as Time (Science) and ADDitude Magazine.

Outside of work, Molly finds joy in life’s simple moments; spending time with her parents, sisters, and nieces/nephews and embracing opportunities to connect her neighborhood and give back. Whether at work or at home, she leads with compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to create positive change wherever she goes.

I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I advise young women entering my industry to be bold, take initiative, and do what they believe is right. They should trust their judgment and take difficult steps to achieve their goals.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are family and compassion. I cherish being a mother of two and a happily married partner, and I enjoy spending time at the end of the day walking our dogs, and creating memories over family dinners and early morning coffee.
