Noeline Gunasekara
Noeline Gunasekara, Ph.D., SHRM-CP, is a dedicated higher education professional and human resources expert with a remarkable journey spanning multiple countries and industries. Beginning her career in corporate banking in Sri Lanka, she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue higher education, earning an MBA from Staffordshire University and a dual honors degree in HR and Finance from Thiel University. Her professional focus shifted from corporate banking to higher education, where she now serves as Assistant Director for Faculty Affairs at Texas A&M University, combining her expertise in HR, mentoring, and leadership development to support faculty and staff growth.
Over the course of her career, Noeline has built a reputation as a passionate advocate for women’s career advancement, particularly mid-level female managers—a focus reflected in her doctoral research. She has balanced the roles of wife, mother, student, and professional throughout her PhD journey at Texas A&M University, demonstrating resilience and commitment to lifelong learning. Her work emphasizes mentorship, coaching, and strategic human resource development, helping others navigate professional challenges and achieve their potential.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Noeline is deeply engaged in her community, volunteering with her church, children’s schools, and local donation initiatives.
