Rachel de Boer

Rachel de Boer is a dynamic Global Marketing Regional Manager with a distinguished career spanning more than fourteen years in the apparel and textile industry. With a strong foundation in merchandising, fashion marketing, and trend analysis, she has developed a reputation for her innovative approach to brand strategy and relationship management.

Rachel began her professional journey in retail, serving as a Denim Specialist at Bloomingdale’s, where she honed her understanding of consumer behavior, brand presentation, and product storytelling. She later worked as a Key Holder at Barrington Saddlery, managing a team and developing her skills in operations and visual merchandising. These early experiences built the foundation for her transition into global marketing and account management.

In 2011, Rachel joined YKK, one of the world’s leading fastening products manufacturers, where she has since cultivated a deep understanding of the global supply chain and fashion ecosystem. Over the years, she has advanced through several leadership positions — including Global Account Executive, Senior Global Account Executive, and now Global Marketing Manager — driving strategic partnerships, brand development initiatives, and cross-regional collaborations with major fashion and apparel brands. Her work focuses on trend forecasting, sustainability initiatives, and innovative product launches that bridge creativity and technology.

Rachel’s passion for leadership extends beyond her corporate role. She actively contributes to education and mentorship as a Fashion Advisory Board Member at the College of DuPage and as a Coach and Board Advisor for INCubator.edu, where she guides students in marketing, entrepreneurship, and product development. Her ability to inspire young professionals reflects her belief in the power of mentorship and continuous learning.

A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Merchandising, cum laude, Rachel combines academic excellence with hands-on industry experience.
