Theresa Zurn is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Zurn Visual, a Chattanooga-based company at the forefront of trade show and experiential marketing. Under her leadership, Zurn Visual delivers bold, innovative visual solutions that combine cutting-edge design with a commitment to sustainability. Theresa’s approach ensures that every display and branded experience is both impactful and environmentally conscious, helping clients make a lasting impression without compromising the planet.
With over two decades of experience in account management, strategic sales, and material applications, Theresa has held key roles at Polymershapes, SABIC, and GE Polymershapes. She is recognized for her ability to manage national accounts, develop client-focused strategies, and translate complex material solutions into creative, functional designs. Her deep understanding of materials and sourcing, combined with a passion for mentoring and collaboration, positions her as a respected leader in both the trade show and materials industries.
Founded alongside structural engineer Maximilian Hansen, Zurn Visual is built on the mission to create jaw-dropping displays and experiences that push creative boundaries while promoting sustainability. Theresa is driven by a philosophy that sustainability is not a limitation but an advantage, helping brands leverage recyclable and innovative materials to stand out. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, following college football, and gardening, all of which inspire her creativity and perspective in business and design.
What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong educational foundation, a lifelong eagerness to learn, and a genuine commitment to helping others. I believe that continuously expanding my knowledge and supporting those around me has been key to achieving both personal and professional growth. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, following college football, and tending to my garden, which allow me to recharge and bring fresh perspectives to my endeavors.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to make my voice heard, never be afraid to express my opinions, and always take pride in my accomplishments. Embracing this guidance has empowered me to lead confidently, advocate for my ideas, and pursue opportunities with conviction.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be a great mentor to others, actively share your knowledge, and lift those around you. Find your passion and remain committed to it, while also staying open to new experiences and opportunities that challenge you to grow.

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is proactively reaching out to others and letting them know that support and guidance are available.
