Vlada Kenniff

Vlada Kenniff, Ph.D. is the President of the New York City Public Housing Preservation Trust, where she leads a transformational effort to improve the quality of life for residents across the city's public housing system. With over two decades of public service experience, she has built a distinguished career focused on capital infrastructure, sustainability, and urban systems. As President, she oversees strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and partnerships to ensure long-term preservation and modernization of New York City's public housing stock.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Kenniff held senior leadership positions at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), including Senior Vice President for Sustainability and Vice President for Energy and Sustainability. Earlier in her career, she served nearly 11 years at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, where she managed major water and infrastructure programs, developed long-range planning strategies, and led citywide initiatives focused on sustainability, climate adaptation, and operational efficiencies. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Studies from LIU Post, an M.S. in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Information Systems from Pace University.
