Anne Marie Nfon is an emerging educator and dedicated professional currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education at Grand Canyon University. With a strong passion for inclusive education and student support, Anne Marie brings her experience and compassion to her role as a Special Education Paraprofessional at Independent School District 196 in Minnesota. In this role, she works closely with teachers and students to foster a positive and accessible learning environment, offering individualized support to help students meet their academic and personal goals.
Anne Marie also contributes as a contract interpreter with LanguageLine Solutions, providing interpretation services in Nigerian Pidgin and English across multiple industries. Her multilingual skills and cultural insight enhance communication and accessibility for diverse communities. With a background in Environmental Science from the University of Buea and over five years of experience in customer-focused roles at Fresh Thyme Market, Anne Marie’s journey reflects a consistent commitment to service, adaptability, and growth. As she continues her graduate studies, she remains focused on creating meaningful impact in special education and beyond.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that education is the key to your future—so find what you love to do and pursue it with passion.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is: don’t be afraid to ask for help—asking questions helps you learn more effectively; stay curious, keep learning, and continue your education with confidence and enthusiasm.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is simply not having enough hours in the day to support and make a meaningful impact on as many individuals as I would like to.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both work and personal life are perseverance, goal-setting, follow-through, and supporting one another with positivity throughout the journey.
