Arelis Calkins

Arelis Calkins believes that hardship can shape individuals in powerful ways. Her early experiences set her on a lifelong journey of self-discovery and healing. She grew up in the Dominican Republic with her mother and six siblings, facing numerous challenges from a young age. While her childhood included trauma that often felt overwhelming, Arelis has learned that these struggles can become the foundation for strength, resilience, and purpose.

Now residing in Florida with her husband and four children, Arelis is passionate about sharing her experiences to inspire others to heal and embrace life’s ups and downs. Practicing Reiki and reconnecting spiritually has been pivotal in her journey, helping her release past pain and guiding others toward personal growth and fulfillment.
Arelis has several passions that keep her grounded and joyful. Cooking is a favorite avenue for connection, nurturing, and sharing love. Growing up, she eagerly explored new recipes and experimented in the kitchen. For Arelis, cooking is more than a craft—it is a way to bring people together and create moments of joy.

Through her work, Arelis emphasizes the power of choosing joy, unconditional love, and light. She helps individuals recognize that happiness is attainable and that intentional living can uncover life’s beauty. Her book, Rising Above Adversity: Healing and Nurturing Your Inner Child, shares her story of growing up in the Dominican Republic, immigrating to the United States, and navigating her own healing journey. Through her writing, Arelis aims to help others work through trauma, embrace forgiveness, and transform pain into love and purpose.

Through this journey, she discovered her purpose: helping others heal, grow, and rise into their fullest, most joyful selves. Therefore, she embarked on a career in life coaching. In addition to life coaching, she is also a Reiki practitioner and a spiritual guide. Her story serves as proof that healing and joy are possible, and that a new chapter is always within reach.
