Live Life Faithfully and Abundantly: The Lord’s Favored Child
Let us begin with my Facebook post that inspired this reflection. Here it is:
“…Yay!! I handwashed more dishes. They are just about done—just a few pieces of silverware left. It feels good. Work is satisfying and even enjoyable with the right attitude. The Lord rewards service and good work when you choose to see it that way.
I am constantly working, helping others, and building independence through positive action. I believe in cultivating independence in people and encouraging good, altruistic behavior. I express this through prayer, reflection, social connection, and daily life.
Do not wait for others to do it for you. Take action for yourself. Set goals and begin meaningful work for yourself and others today. Sometimes you just need to take small steps. Be independent. Build meaningful connections. Do everything with God in your heart, soul, and mind. God bless.
There are great rewards in this. Ask of God, have faith, and be patient. It will come. Take action toward your dreams. God is good. Thank you, Jesus. Stay grateful with a joyful heart. You can achieve anything that aligns with God’s will for good, as long as you take action and live in harmony with His purpose.”
Some people might say, “What? No way. Work? I don’t like work.”
But there is meaning to be found in even the simplest tasks. There is a deep sense of satisfaction in completing work, seeing the results, and taking pride in what you’ve done. With the right mindset, even ordinary chores can bring peace and fulfillment.
It’s all about cultivating positive thoughts and habits.
As I write this now, I recognize it did not come from nowhere. It came from years of effort, discipline, and persistence—building habits, setting goals, and learning to use my time productively. Nothing meaningful is simply given; it is developed through patience, consistency, and faith.
I was raised in a Christian household where I was taught values of faith, perseverance, and gratitude. My parents supported me and encouraged me through structure and discipline.
Growing up, I faced challenges early in life, including learning difficulties. I struggled through school, especially with reading, and had to work harder than many of my peers to keep up. Despite these challenges, I continued forward, supported by persistence, education, and determination.
Later in life, I experienced significant personal struggles and setbacks that affected my education, mental health, and career path. During those times, I sought support, healing, and direction in different ways, and gradually began rebuilding my life step by step.
Over time, I returned to focus on my independence and personal growth. I built my own path, started working for myself, and committed to living in a way that felt aligned with my values. Today, I am a writer, poet, and entrepreneur, running my own business and choosing how I want to structure my life and work.
I no longer see life as something that simply happens to me. I see it as something I actively participate in shaping.
I am grateful for where I am now. I continue to grow, continue to learn, and continue to move forward with faith, purpose, and intention.
