About Aakriti
Aakriti Sachdeva is a digital marketing professional with over a decade of experience in luxury marketing and e-commerce. She began her career 11 to 12 years ago as a publicist, managing communications, traditional marketing, events, and media events for prominent global brands. In 2021 she pursued an MBA in Digital Marketing and Marketing in the United States. For nearly three years she has served as Digital Marketing Head at an e-commerce brand, growing online revenue from zero to one million dollars in two and a half years while leading all marketing efforts single-handedly. She is a member of the American Marketing Association. Her success is attributed to her determination, stubbornness, focus, and willingness to take risks such as pausing her career at its peak to pursue further education. She values being a team player and adopting projects with passion.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My determination and stubbornness. I have been very determined and very stubborn about what I wanted to do and have been very focused in doing that. I don't fear taking risks, like taking a break from my career at its peak to pursue an MBA.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Follow your dream. Be very passionate about what you do no matter what you decide for yourself. It is very important to enjoy what you do every single day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If you are passionate about it, you should just go for it. Follow your dreams. Be open to learn new things because things are changing very dramatically and rapidly in terms of technology.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI is both a challenge and opportunity. It makes jobs simple with tools but it is more important to be creative with human brains. Strategy still lies with us and how we communicate to people is very important.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
It is very important to be a team player because all successes are built together. When you start working for a project or company, adopt it as yours - it is not just a job but something to be passionate about.
