Product Lead, AI - InHome

I began my career as a software engineer building products, but I quickly realized I wasn't made to just solve problems technically - I wanted to look at problems from the top down, define what problems to solve, and prioritize the right solutions that make a huge impact to the business. This mindset drove me to keep bridging gaps throughout my career, transitioning into technical project management roles and eventually pursuing a global MBA focused on product management and tech leadership, which brought me to the USA and allowed me to fully break into end-to-end product management. For the past 4+ years, I've been a product lead at Walmart managing one of their delivery products, where I'm responsible for the complete product lifecycle - building strategy for the portfolio, creating and prioritizing roadmaps, defining requirements, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, getting features into development, testing in the field, launching pilots, and scaling to the chain. I'm most proud of building platform-level initiatives within Walmart's Last Mile Delivery that have unlocked billion-dollar opportunities to serve customers better by providing what they need at their doorstep. As a product leader, I'm passionate about solving problems that impact both customers and the business, and I always lead with the latest in technology, like AI today. I'm also proud of being a mom who balances raising my toddler while staying focused on my career goals and passion as an individual.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I would say there are three key factors to my success. First is passion and focus on the problem - deciding what problem to solve, because there are always 100 problems you see and hear from your customers, so choosing the right problem at the right time is critical. Second is having good relationships with your stakeholders and partners who trust you and your skills, who believe you will make it happen. That kind of trust gives you the confidence that yes, you can do it, because it makes things more smooth versus chaotic. And lastly, just waking up with the mindset of doing something impactful every day and showing up - I think that changes the dynamics.
