Ten minutes with Aarthi
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Your network is your net worth. Be there, network, get to know people, learn about them. Communication is all about 80% listening, and to any person speaking, so be a good listener.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Persistence, growth, and grit is what you need. You consistently have to set a goal to grow to where you want to be. You need to have the grit to handle whatever comes your way. And you just need to be focused to get there.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges are we don't have enough nurses available. You have to come up with creative ways to solve the problem. The amount of people, patient versus nurses are way more than expected post-COVID. Identifying the talent that aligns with our mission and ensuring they serve the purpose is the biggest challenge in my role.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, respect and responsibility are the most valuable for me. I bring that into my work culture as well. And I have that as a strong belief in my personal life, too.
