Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I actually come from a very blue collar family .my first dream job was to become or work in a construction management but I was steered away from that direction due to my petite size so initially I held a lot of roles in management for retail and restaurants and then moved into electrical distribution .I entered the electrical distribution field shortly after graduating in May 2024. I’ve always had a strong interest in both blue-collar work and business, and this path allowed me to combine those passions. I was drawn to the leadership and management aspects of the industry pretty early on—it felt like a place where I could make a real impact. standout accomplishments was working on the fencing project at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. That project was one of the highlights of my early career. I worked with a team to redesign the sport of fencing, and we did it under the guidance of Ian Adamson, who previously held a presidential role with the International Olympic Committee. The initiative was eventually presented to the international committee, which was incredibly validating. It was a mix of innovation, leadership, and teamwork, and it really pushed me to grow professionally.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't be afraid to ask questions be vulnerable also have humility and always care about your career because you won't lose sight of your goal

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be curious, ask questions, and stay authentic. Don’t just chase opportunities—earn them by showing you care and putting in the work. But if growth doesn’t come, speak up. Vulnerability and humility go a long way, especially in interviews. It’s better to be yourself than to deliver rehearsed, generic answers.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Right now, tariffs and rising copper prices are major concerns in our sector, along with the volatility in the housing market. All of these factors directly affect electrical distribution. It’s a tough environment, but one that also pushes us to innovate and adapt.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe in people-first leadership. It’s about listening, building trust, and helping others grow. I think it’s important to be authentic, to care deeply about the work, and to make space for others to succeed. If people feel valued, they perform better. That’s always been my approach. This is a very male dominated industry so stay strong and passionate
