Her Story

About Abbie

Randy Rogan serves as an Account Executive, soon to be Broker at White Horse Freight in the freight logistics industry, where she has worked since 2023. Her expertise centers on connecting with clients through cold calling and maintaining confidence in a male-dominated field. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications and Social Media Management from Liberty University in 2021 and an Associate's degree in General Studies from Collin College in 2019. Rogan participates in her company's women's group as well as external social circles of women. She attributes her success to endurance and the support of her father, and she values honesty and directness in both her professional and personal life. Rogan advises young women entering the industry to know their worth, brush off negativity, and focus on their goals. She notes that while many factors in freight logistics are beyond control, such as gas prices and regulations, the opportunity lies in focusing on what can be controlled, making it an excellent time for women to enter the field.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Abbie

01What do you attribute your success to?

My dad has probably been, like, my biggest supporter, and then my success is probably endurance. Honestly. I've not really had an option, and I think when you're pushed to the point of, you know, you have to get it done, or you know, there is no other option, you get it done, and I think endurance is a big part of that.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Find what makes you happy and do it. Best career advice is just keep going, and screw everybody else. Find your reason, find your why, and work every day. That's the reason to keep pushing.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Walk out the noise. Something that I personally struggle with is trying to fit in, but I'm here for a job. And I think with this job, it is male-dominated. It's important to know your worth, and like, when people talk down to you, you just gotta be able to brush it off, and let it go, and that's something that's really hard, but that would be my number one piece of advice.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There's a lot that's out of our control like gas prices, federal check-ins, freight drivers getting stopped. We can't control a lot of things, and we just have to focus on what we can control. The opportunity would be taking what we can control and running with it. There's never been a better time to get into freight logistics, especially for a female.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being honest about things. I think it's huge to be blunt in life and in your job. We all want success, but like, you just gotta be honest about it, and be like what I want. This is what I'm going after, and no. Like, in your soul of souls, like. That your honesty will get you there.
