What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the powerhouse mentors that took me under their wing, the team members that surround me and certainly the premier companies along with our temporary employees we work with. Without each of these, my success would not be possible. The hiring initiatives I have been a part of have provided me a deep understanding of both client needs and internal efficiencies, allowing me to build top tier teams and deliver consistent results across multiple sectors.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I’ve been fortunate to have worked with the best in the industry and that they have taken the time to share their wisdom with me. Thank you to those who truly believed in me from the start- Gina Thorton and Kris Wilkins; as well as those who opened up new invigorating opportunities after my career break-the Varners, and Trey Smoak. Their support continues to shape my path and thanks to them, I found not just a career but a home in this industry.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the workforce is simple: get your foot in the door and take that leap. One stepping stone will lead to another, but you have to be willing to start. Don’t be so selective that you unintentionally hold yourself back. Network, join programs, and take full advantage of every opportunity because each one builds your path forward.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are transparency, empathy, authenticity, and a strong work ethic. I deeply enjoy spending time with friends and family, whether it’s lake trips or sharing new experiences that create lasting memories. I especially love seeing the world through my daughter Blakely’s eyes, as she takes in every moment with her positive outlook that lights up the room.
Professionally, I’m most proud of the success stories of candidates I’ve worked with—those who faced challenges but had incredible potential. Being their advocate and helping highlight their strengths is what truly motivates me and gives my work meaning.
