Abby Hunsberger
Abby Hunsberger is a dedicated behavioral health professional with over two years of experience supporting children and families. She began her career in corporate training with DMG, a facilities maintenance group, before transitioning into behavioral and mental health services. Abby has worked with community-based programs through Envision and currently serves with NewPath, where she focuses on in-home family support, coaching parents of children with ability differences, and providing school-based behavioral interventions.
Abby earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from St. Joseph’s in 2021 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree, supported in part by her role at NewPath. Her professional approach is rooted in personal experience, having grown up with a brother with special needs, which inspired her passion for supporting families navigating special education and behavioral health. She specializes in building strong, personable relationships with clients, customizing interventions to meet individual needs, integrating therapeutic strategies into daily life, and providing school-based behavioral support.
In her current role in New Miami, Abby works with elementary through high school students, providing therapeutic interventions and social communication support while collaborating closely with parents and teachers using a holistic, wraparound approach. She actively maintains professional connections through partnerships with Hamilton County Developmental Disability Services and former involvement with the NAEYC. Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two corgis, reading, and staying current with special education and social work research. She aspires to advance into a therapist role and eventually take on a managerial position in behavioral health.
