Her Story

About Abby

I started off doing competitive cheer for 15 years, and after COVID hit, I was going through a lot of emotional things like anxiety and whatnot, and the gym really helped me through it. I started working out and got really serious about it, transitioning into bodybuilding. I've been in the bodybuilding industry and fitness industry for about 5 years now, and I've been a fitness coach for about a year. Bodybuilding definitely takes a lot of discipline and consistency, and not your regular person can do it. I recently got into marketing about 6 months ago. Right now, I'm trying to get out of serving - I'm a server and a bartender and I've been trying to get out of that industry for years, which is why I launched my fitness coaching platform and got into the marketing side of things. I love helping others and building others up and sharing my story. I love to post and share my story on social media to show others that anything is possible if you just put your mind to it. I love sharing positivity, especially learning new mindset tricks and how you should really spend your day-to-day life by just building yourself up. I want to grow my coaching business and would love to get into medical device sales and utilize my degree to a great stance.

Ten minutes with Abby

01What do you attribute your success to?

My intention is I love helping others and building others up and sharing my story, so I feel like my successes can help others and show others that they just need to take it one day at a time and continue their path, and they will see the success start turning around. I love to share positivity, especially learning new mindset tricks and how you should really spend your day-to-day life by just building yourself up. I went through so much anxiety, and I have a phrase on my arm that says 'still I rise,' and it's kind of just like that reminder that you rose from whatever you went through in the past, but you're still rising each and every day and taking things one day at a time. I love sharing that with others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Stick through it as hard as it gets, to always continue and stick through the hardships of everything, continue with that consistency. And again, like I said before, just don't give up. There were many days where I genuinely didn't think I was gonna be able to finish my degree when I was juggling a full-time job and bodybuilding prep. I've wanted to drop out constantly, but I think the day I graduated was a really huge achievement for me, because it did show that I didn't give up once, and I kept going.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I love helping others and building others up, especially women, to see their true self and their authenticity, and show that anybody can do it, it is possible. Anything is possible if you just put your mind to it. You just need to take it one day at a time and continue your path, and you will see the success start turning around. I love to share positivity and learning new mindset tricks and how you should really spend your day-to-day life by just building yourself up. I have a phrase on my arm that says 'still I rise,' and it's kind of just like that reminder that you rose from whatever you went through in the past, but you're still rising each and every day and taking things one day at a time.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value, in everything, I always value loyalty. I value all my friendships and my relationships that I have. I value the support that I carry and that I've received over the years. I value just anybody that has given me an opportunity when it comes to challenging myself and growing. I'm extremely grateful for my parents being supportive the whole way, and especially with my friends too. I was lucky enough - not every friend is supportive of a bodybuilder's journey and their crazy work life, and I was grateful to have very supportive friends, and still am.
