Abha Abbas serves as Global Director in luxury hospitality at Kempinski. She entered the field in January 2000 after graduating from Rutgers in 1998, initially taking a role as an overnight reservation agent at the Ritz-Carlton Marina Del Rey to pay off student loans while her husband pursued acting. She later advanced to positions such as catering coordinator at the Fairmont Miramar and Transient Sales Manager, crediting mentors including Janet English and Ellen Edelman for key opportunities. Abbas has navigated career challenges including workplace difficulties and the closure of her own rep firm during COVID, drawing on experiences of grit and resilience. She emphasizes the importance of seeing more women in leadership and advocates for pushing back against unfair treatment while supporting family alongside her husband, who works in global sales for Accor.
