Abigail Astle is the Founder and CEO of Daniel Lee’s Gift, a nonprofit she established in September 2024 to provide financial support to families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. Inspired by the loss of her son Daniel at 22 weeks, Abigail created the organization to ease the burden of medical and funeral expenses, allowing families to focus on grieving and healing. Within its first year, she is proud to have assisted 12 families, demonstrating the tangible impact of her compassionate leadership.

Abigail leads with a calm and laid-back style, combining empathy, vision, and creativity to guide her team and serve the families she supports. A lifelong artist, she enjoys translating her creativity into social media content that raises awareness, builds community, and fosters meaningful connections. Her approach reflects a balance of professionalism, care, and innovation.

Outside of her work with Daniel Lee’s Gift, Abigail is a devoted stay-at-home mom to three children and cherishes creating lasting memories with her family. Her personal experiences as a mother and advocate continue to inspire her dedication to helping bereaved families, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and not alone during life’s most difficult moments.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God and the memory of my son. Their presence and influence in my life provide me with purpose, strength, and motivation, guiding me through challenges and inspiring me to pursue my goals with passion and resilience.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that what you do today can have an impact that lasts for decades. Every action, decision, and effort contributes to long-term growth and shapes your professional trajectory, so it’s important to approach each opportunity with intention, diligence, and a focus on lasting value.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to embrace every opportunity with a “yes” mindset and be willing to try new things. Even if you don’t know exactly how to do something, take the leap and learn as you go. Growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone and gaining experience through action and perseverance.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I currently face in my field is finding the right people to connect with. Building meaningful professional relationships is essential for growth and collaboration, and identifying those connections that align with shared goals and values presents both a challenge and an opportunity to expand my network strategically.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are honesty, integrity, and the courage to be vulnerable. I believe in approaching every situation with transparency and authenticity, and I am committed to creating environments where others feel safe to share their stories. Embracing vulnerability not only fosters trust and meaningful connections but also allows for personal growth and genuine collaboration.
