She began this position in July after previous experience in the field. Neef also teaches as an Adjunct Professor at Boise State University, now in her third semester. Her professional journey began with a research assistant position at Boise State University, where she coded police reports for a study on the prevalence of victims with disabilities in Idaho. She then worked as a Victim Advocate at Faces of Hope, followed by a role as a Correctional Case Manager in the prison system, and time at a treatment center before her current position. Neef holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Boise State University, earned in 2020, and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University, earned in 2023. She received a domestic violence grant to support her thesis work and the Most Positive Person Award while working in the prison system.
