Ten minutes with Acacia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to having great leaders throughout my career. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have managers who invested in teaching me, challenged me to grow, and truly listened. They embodied servant leadership, creating an environment where I felt supported while also being encouraged to think critically and take on new challenges. Their guidance has shaped the way I approach my own work and how I hope to lead others in the future. While I worked hard to get where I am, I don’t think I’d be here without the people who believed in me along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to never stop learning. Technology, business, and the workplace are always evolving, and the people who continue to learn are the ones who continue to grow. Every new project, challenge, or setback is an opportunity to gain knowledge that will help you in the future.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t make yourself small to fit into someone else’s idea of where you belong. Be big. Be brave. Speak up, ask questions, and trust that your voice deserves to be heard. There will be times when you feel like you’re the only woman in the room, but don’t let that convince you to shrink yourself or second-guess your abilities. Your perspective has value, and your confidence will open doors not only for you, but for the women who come after you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
It’s an exciting time to be in this industry because we’re helping shape the future of work. Technology is changing how organizations operate, but the most successful companies will be the ones that use it to support people, not replace them. The organizations that embrace innovation while keeping employees at the center of their decisions will be the ones that succeed. Being part of that transformation, finding better ways to solve problems, improve processes, and create a better experience for employees, is what makes this field so rewarding.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I lead with integrity, and I believe in doing the right thing, even when it’s the harder path. At work, that sometimes means respectfully challenging decisions or offering a different perspective. I understand the importance of protecting the business, but I also believe the people who make the business successful deserve to be considered in every decision. I try to find solutions that balance both, and that’s the mindset I bring to work every day. In my personal life, those same values guide me. I believe in being honest, showing up for the people I care about, and treating others with fairness and respect.
