About Adella
I graduated as a pharmacist in 2016 from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden with my Bachelor degree. In Sweden, we work just the same as pharmacists in the United States - we call ourselves pharmacists. I've been working in regulatory affairs since 2021, about 2 years now. My key responsibilities involve making sure that cosmetic brands, more specifically skincare brands, are aligned with U.S. FDA regulations. I work with skincare brands in the United States, ensuring that their products are aligned - their wordings, language, their claims, their formulation, and ingredients. The way it works is that they reach out, I have a consultation with them, they agree, and then I start my process. They send me all the required materials and I have an ongoing session with them throughout the process. I really enjoy what I'm doing. I just love educating and breaking down information to the consumers. I'm also an advocate for consumers, wanting them to really have good quality products, whether it's cosmetic or medication. That's what drives me in this industry. I'm a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), which keeps me connected to my professional community.
