Her Interview
Ten minutes with Adisyn Belle
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family and friends, especially my father who taught me to lead by example and talk to everyone in the room because you never know what people are going through. My company has given me confidence and helped create a spot for me in the dealership. Leadership positions in high school and college gave me skills, connections, and confidence to grow in my industry.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice came from Mr. Keith Allen who received the Distinguished Service Award from Farm Bureau. He told me to always say yes to any opportunity because you never know what it could lead to. Even if an opportunity seems shallow, you don't know the people you'll meet, and saying yes shows motivation and willingness to help and grow.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Each day is an opportunity to make the most of life. A positive attitude combined with showing up and putting in the effort can help accomplish goals. A strong woman stands up for herself, but an even stronger woman stands up for others. Giving back and helping others is rewarding, especially in agriculture and equipment industries to help others find equipment and motivation.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being a woman in the male-dominated equipment and agriculture industry is a big challenge. Sometimes I have to prove I am knowledgeable. Women are worthy and deserve a place at the table, sometimes you have to pull up your own chair. Supportive leadership and a company that respects growth makes a difference. I work hard to prepare and learn equipment thoroughly.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Leadership, motivation, positivity, service, and supporting others are most important. Every day is a blessing so take the most of what the day offers. You can succeed with a positive attitude and effort. A strong woman stands up for herself but a stronger woman stands up for others. The most rewarding part is giving back and helping others.
