Her Interview
Ten minutes with Aditi
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would give 80% to my mom, and maybe 20% to my dad. My mom is a housewife who empowered me to pursue my career and dreams, and my dad is very hardworking and honest.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Not to be afraid of things. As a woman, especially South Asian, don't feel the need to just be nice - say what you want to say. Bring yourself to the table, invite yourself to meetings, and don't wait for people to invite you to conversations.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't try to change yourself to fit in. Be hardworking and passionate about what you want, and that's all you need.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities include easy access to learning via AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT that can automate tasks and help with papers or concepts. Challenge is that people focus too much on outcomes and use AI as a shortcut, skipping fundamentals that are necessary.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and loyalty - the people who stay with you in bad times are your people. Honesty balanced with kindness. Being fair to people irrespective of other things or personality differences.
