Her Interview
Ten minutes with Adria
01What do you attribute your success to?
It definitely started from that Meadow Gold dairy team in Hawaii. They supported me and helped me on special projects. At Dean Foods they invested in me with the USC program. The tenacity of always asking for more combined with companies willing to invest in me.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
When I first started my job at Meadow Gold, I just said yes to everything. Being aware of my surroundings and that people were trying to support me, saying yes to everything was really important very early on in my career.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunities that consumers continue to care about what is in their food at a really good rate. As a natural food sales leader, there's opportunity to deliver good quality food that tastes good and brings consumers back into categories. Excited about building a better food system rooted in brands like Mason Dixie Foods that care about clean foods that taste good.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I want to empower everyone who I work with every day to have their day. I want people to feel like they're excited to do what it is they're doing with me. Remove blocks and support people being able to do a job. That's the type of environment that I want to create.
