About Adriana
Adriana Ciucian is the Chief Visionary of Boxed Wedding Invitations and Boxed Experience, a fully integrated luxury design, print, fabrication, and production studio based in the Boston area. Since founding the company in February 2014, she has built it into a nationally recognized name in luxury stationery, event branding, custom packaging, and brand experiences. Her work centers on the principles of positioning and visual narrative, and she is known for delivering the visual impact and wow factor that high-end events demand. Through Boxed Wedding Invitations, Ciucian and her team craft bespoke invitations, signage, welcome gifts, and immersive event branding for weddings, galas, fundraisers, and milestone celebrations around the world. Boxed Experience, the company's corporate division, partners with brands and organizations on employee gifting programs, onboarding kits, executive gifts, trade show materials, and experiential marketing campaigns that strengthen company culture. Because every project is designed, printed, and fabricated in-house, her studio maintains complete creative control from concept to finished product. Its portfolio includes projects for Super Bowl LVII, NFL and NBA events, Fortune 500 companies, and luxury brands, with features in Vogue, People, The New York Times, Brides, and Cosmopolitan. Ciucian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business/Managerial Economics and a Master of Science in Business/Commerce from Cambridge College, and was named an Honored Listee by Marquis Who's Who in 2026. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family. I grew up surrounded by entrepreneurs, and my parents have worked tirelessly throughout their lives. I have carried that same exceptional work ethic into my own career, and I keep moving forward every day because of the example they set.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I have received is to build the strongest team possible and surround myself with the best people so that we can deliver at the highest level. Just as important, I was taught to stay consistent every single day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Keep going, and don't chase the smoke; catch the fire. Cut through the noise, especially with the rise of AI, because what matters is not what we see but what we are capable of creating. Above all, believe in yourself.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Honestly, I don't see many obstacles, because I love a challenge and enjoy pushing myself beyond my boundaries to keep creating. I have come to understand that AI cannot replace the experience we create for guests at the moment they open an invitation.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Consistency is the value I hold most dear, and I apply it to both my professional and personal life. I show up every day and always deliver. I never over-promise and under-deliver, I give back, and I take accountability for my work.
