I have a strong background in the insurance industry, and have held positions with several insurance carriers in the past. I've currently been with Westfield Insurance for over a decade and hold the titles of Product Development Consultant and Product Owner. I have deep expertise in Personal Lines insurance, Agile product delivery, and customer‑centric solution design. In my current role at Westfield Insurance, I serve as the Product Owner for two Agile teams, where I provide clear product vision, guide strategy, and define business value to ensure the successful implementation of key Personal Lines initiatives. I create and prioritize user stories, manage team backlogs, and partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver consistent and efficient solutions that meet customer and organizational needs.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Adriana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I’ve always believed that my work ethic is rooted in how I was raised. My parents taught me early on that if you want something, you work for it—nothing is guaranteed. That mindset has stayed with me throughout my career. I’ve never been one to just check the box; I naturally push myself to truly understand each role, build real mastery, and deliver more than what's expected.
I’ve also been fortunate to cross paths with leaders who saw my drive and encouraged it. Their support—and the opportunities they’ve given me to grow—have played a big role in shaping who I am professionally. That combination of hard work, curiosity, and great mentorship has guided me at every step.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received in my career is to stay humble, take responsibility, and keep learning as you move forward. This advice has shaped the way I show up every day.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My biggest advice is to stay curious, ask questions, and keep learning. This industry is constantly evolving, and the women who thrive are the ones who embrace learning at every stage—whether you’re mastering a new product, navigating complex systems, or stepping into leadership through influence rather than title.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, one of the biggest challenges in the insurance industry is the pace of change. Technology, and customer expectations are ever changing. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly evolving—and with it, there is a challenge of figuring out how to adopt it responsibly. For Product Owners and product development professionals like me, this creates a huge opportunity to help shape how AI and automation are implemented, ensuring they enhance the customer experience, strengthen teams, and solve real problems—without eliminating the human judgment that makes our industry work.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me—both at work and in my personal life—are being honest and open, building and earning trust, taking responsibility for my actions, and creating meaningful connections with the people around me.
