Her Story
About Adriana
Adriana Miller is the Founder of Rooted Rituals and a certified Integrative and Ayurvedic Health Counselor who provides holistic health and wellness counseling focused on women, particularly mothers. Her work emphasizes practical, sustainable changes in nutrition, daily routines, movement, mindfulness, and self-care. As a certified yoga instructor, she also incorporates yoga, meditation, and breathwork into her wellness offerings. Miller's passion for Integrative and Ayurveda began approximately 15 years ago following her own experiences with chronic fatigue, digestive issues, and autoimmune challenges, which led her to explore holistic approaches to healing and preventative health. She earned her Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification from Mount Madonna Institute in 2020 and has spent the past six years helping clients develop individualized wellness practices that support their overall well-being. Before founding Rooted Rituals in June 2026, Miller developed a successful professional career in customer advocacy, operations, compliance, and account management, primarily within the nonprofit and education sectors. Most recently, she served as Compliance Manager at Zen Educate, where she led compliance operations, developed standardized workflows, conducted audits and risk assessments, and helped ensure alignment with federal, state, and district-level regulations. She previously held an Operations Associate position with the organization and worked as an Operations Project Manager for Luciela Media Group, overseeing enrollment operations, customer support, team coordination, and process improvements. Her professional background reflects her strengths in problem-solving, regulatory compliance, communication, and operational management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from San José State University and earned her Level I Yoga Instructor Certification from Roots of Yoga in 2018. In addition to her professional pursuits, Miller has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to community service and making wellness accessible to others. From 2018 to 2019, she volunteered with the nonprofit Yoga For All Movement in Santa Cruz, California, providing free yoga classes to women at Janus of Santa Cruz, a women's shelter serving individuals who have experienced physical or substance abuse. This experience profoundly influenced her personal and professional commitment to supporting women through compassionate, accessible wellness practices. She also served on the American Red Cross Club Red Youth Executive Board, eventually becoming Vice President, where she contributed to community outreach, communications, fundraising, and volunteer initiatives. Guided by a deeply personal sense of purpose rooted in motherhood, Miller is passionate about helping women recognize the importance of prioritizing their own health and self-care. Through Rooted Rituals, she hopes to empower women to make meaningful lifestyle changes, reconnect with themselves, and establish sustainable practices that support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Adriana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to having a strong sense of purpose and a deeply personal reason for continuing, even during difficult times. My son, particularly his journey with a congenital heart defect, has given me a different perspective on life and strengthened my determination to pursue what I love. I want to lead by example and show him that it is possible to follow your passions, overcome challenges, and make a meaningful contribution to the world. He is a constant reminder of why my work matters and what motivates me to keep moving forward.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Biggest advice for women building a business is to trust yourself. We sometimes outsource our confidence a little bit and rely on the validation of others. Stay connected to your why. Don't let comparison, fear, or the pressure to do everything perfectly hold you back. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Believe in what you have to offer and allow yourself to grow along the way.
