Her Story

About Adrianna

I started my career in the nonprofit sector, where I completed several internships during college before working at nonprofit organizations after graduation. About three years ago, I made the transition to digital advertising, which has been an incredible journey of growth. I began as an Account Coordinator at my current company and worked my way up through a Senior Account Coordinator role before achieving my goal of becoming an Account Executive about a year ago. This promotion was a really proud moment for me because it was the role I had been working toward from about six months into joining the company, and I had amazing mentors in that position who inspired me to succeed. In my current role, I work with traditional media companies like print, radio, linear TV, and general marketing agencies, helping them navigate the digital ad space and deliver digital solutions to their clients. My day-to-day involves driving new business, closing deals, and helping my partners grow their digital revenue through joining sales calls to develop digital strategies, traveling in-market for trainings, and serving as a resource for partners with digital advertising questions and opportunities. What made my growth possible was the positive reinforcement and encouragement I received at this company, something I hadn't experienced before, along with mentors who lead by example and with compassion.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would give advice to young women entering my industry to always put your best foot forward and bring forth solutions when outlining problems instead of just outlining the problems. I also think it's important to identify within your environment where you can be an asset. I believe this will contribute to not only personal growth, but the growth of the company or the organization, and the growth of the people around you.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think with digital, due to it being a constantly evolving landscape, it definitely faces certain challenges, namely increased difficulty in attribution and measurement, privacy regulations, rising costs and competition, and then the constant pressure to adapt to these rapid industry shifts. There's always something new each year, it's a different field, you know? The digital world and technology keep changing so quickly that it's hard to keep up with.
