About Adrienne
Adrienne Everakes is a dedicated weight loss coach based in Porter Ranch, California, with 23 years of experience facilitating workshops and providing personalized coaching through Weight Watchers. Her connection to the organization is deeply rooted, as both of her parents were also involved with Weight Watchers. Drawing on this legacy, she has built a career centered on helping individuals achieve sustainable weight loss, improve their health, and age well. Everakes takes a personalized, client-focused approach, emphasizing active listening, realistic goal setting, and flexibility to meet each individual’s needs.
Before dedicating herself to weight loss coaching, Everakes spent 33 years with Air Canada Airlines, where she served in several leadership and customer service roles, including flight attendant, ground staff supervisor at LAX, and Chief Shop Steward of the Union. Her career with Air Canada strengthened her leadership, communication, advocacy, and customer service skills, which continue to influence her coaching philosophy. She leads by example by participating in Weight Watchers alongside her clients and maintaining an active lifestyle that includes rowing more than 2.5 million meters and riding a Peloton bike. Her professional accomplishments include being named Coach of the Year three times, as well as receiving the Platinum Service Award and Customer Service Award from Air Canada.
Beyond her professional work, Everakes is committed to community service and lifelong wellness. She is a member of Kiwanis and has volunteered her time delivering books to elementary schools, assisting at senior centers, and speaking to groups about weight loss, health, and aging. She attributes her success to an important personal realization in her early 50s: the importance of putting herself out there, maintaining a sense of humor, and being open about both successes and challenges. By sharing her experiences authentically and encouraging clients to do the same, Everakes creates an environment built on trust, accountability, and meaningful personal growth.

Ten minutes with Adrienne
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to recognizing, especially in my early 50s, that if you do not put yourself out there and advocate for yourself, no one else will do it for you. I believe in being authentic, approachable, and willing to share both my successes and failures. Humor is an important part of how I connect with people, and I never want others to feel that I have everything figured out. I believe in learning and growing alongside the people I serve, which is why I actively participate in Weight Watchers with them. My willingness to be genuine, vulnerable, and relatable has allowed me to build meaningful connections and inspire others along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be a true team player because there is no “I” in team. I believe that when you genuinely value and appreciate people, they feel respected, engaged, and motivated to contribute their best. Showing appreciation, recognizing others’ efforts, and creating an environment where people feel valued builds trust, strengthens relationships, and inspires a team to succeed together.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to understand that success is earned through consistent effort, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. You have to be willing to start small, learn from every experience, and demonstrate through your actions that you are ready for greater opportunities. Success is not simply handed to you; you have to work your way to the top, remain committed to your goals, and let your character, determination, and performance speak for themselves.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I see in my field is age-related bias, particularly for experienced professionals who still have so much to contribute. I continue to see opportunities on LinkedIn that align closely with my skills and experience, yet I recognize that age can sometimes create barriers to being considered or hired. At the same time, I view my experience as a valuable opportunity to continue sharing my knowledge, mentoring others, and demonstrating that professional growth and meaningful contributions do not have an expiration date.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are flexibility, empathy, and understanding. I believe that not every situation is simply black and white, and sometimes you have to think outside the box to find the best solution. It is important to understand the people you serve, recognize their individual needs, and be willing to go the extra mile when appropriate. By being flexible and truly knowing your clientele, you can build stronger relationships, provide meaningful support, and create a lasting positive impact.
