Adrienne Gershon is a professional Art Curator and Artist Representative based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area, known for her people-centered business philosophy and passion for connecting collectors with meaningful, high-quality artwork. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology with a focus on fashion merchandising, advertising, and communications, she has built a career that blends creativity, strategic marketing, and relationship-driven sales. She currently operates Adrienne’s Art Advisory, where she specializes in artist representation, curation, and art advisory services for luxury residential and commercial spaces.

As an independent art representative, Adrienne currently focuses on representing one European artist who has been creating art professionally for over 20 years and recently obtained his O1 visa, allowing him to work in the United States. She actively seeks opportunities for him with collectors, developers, and clients seeking commissioned works. She describes his artistry as the “couture design of the art world,” reflecting his upscale, highly detailed, and refined creative style. After previously working with several galleries, Adrienne found greater professional fulfillment working independently, allowing her to provide more personalized attention to both her artist and clients. She believes that representing one artist at a time allows for stronger strategic growth, deeper relationships, and more thoughtful placement opportunities within the market.

With over a decade of experience in real estate, art consulting, and fine art sales, Adrienne has developed a strong foundation in client advisory, negotiation, and luxury market positioning. She is passionate about art as a form of emotional expression, wellness, and environmental storytelling, believing that art has the power to transform spaces and elevate everyday living. Her work requires extensive networking, strategic outreach, and relationship management to ensure that artists, collectors, and partners are all equally supported. In the future, she plans to expand her representation portfolio while maintaining her commitment to providing high-level, personalized representation for each artist she works with.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My drive comes from my passion about art. I really love art - not all art, but a lot of it. It ranges from contemporary to outsider. I just love art. I find that it's like the eyes to someone's soul. It's really interesting to me. I always like to look, and I like to be around art. I find that people need to have art. Even if it's not attainable, or they're unable to buy it, it's so important in the world to just have that.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I think, obviously, working for a gallery or working in that field - actually working for a gallery for a little bit is always a good idea. But the most important thing is that you have the nerve and the passion to go for it, especially if you're representing an artist. It's a very competitive world, but if you think that there is a business there, then just jump. Everything gets messy. It gets messy when you work for someone, and it gets messy every day. But unless you're excited about it, then it resonates.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges: the role involves far more work than people expect and is competitive and tumultuous. Opportunities: placing work in commercial and luxury properties, securing commissions, and using platforms like LinkedIn and curated programs (e.g., Influential Women) for visibility and leads.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Passion for art; supporting artists; believing that art enriches lives and communities.
