Adrienne Jones is an accomplished business leader and operations professional who serves as General Manager of Operations and Marketing for DeBeen Espresso. With more than eight years of experience in business administration, management, marketing, and customer service, she oversees two retail locations in North Carolina, as well as the company's online business, branding initiatives, and marketing strategy. Known for her commitment to operational excellence and team development, Adrienne focuses on creating exceptional customer experiences while driving sustainable business growth.
Adrienne's journey with DeBeen Espresso began in 2018 when she joined the company as a part-time barista with no prior experience in the coffee industry. Her passion for the business, strong work ethic, and leadership abilities quickly earned her promotions to shift lead, café manager, and ultimately general manager within five years. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a talent for building high-performing teams, streamlining operations, and implementing innovative strategies that support organizational success. One of her most notable achievements came in 2023 when she helped generate more than 21 percent growth at the Winston-Salem location within six months through strategic hiring, employee development, and operational improvements.
A graduate of Cape Fear Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, Adrienne is passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. She believes that strong leadership is built on trust, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Through her dedication to both her team and customers, Adrienne continues to make a meaningful impact on the growth and success of DeBeen Espresso.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the strong community support around me, including both professional colleagues and my local coffee community who provided recommendations and feedback.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received was to never second-guess myself when opportunities arise, as I initially doubted my qualifications for a position but was encouraged by supportive colleagues to pursue it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Confidently embrace their natural leadership abilities and let their voices be heard, as women are natural leaders who can de-escalate problems and progress through challenges.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is gaining respect as a leader due to age and gender, though this has also led to building open and welcoming communities in two different cities.
