Her Interview

Ten minutes with Adrienne

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of hard work, perseverance, continuous learning, and the guidance of great mentors who have supported and challenged me throughout my journey. I believe that staying committed, embracing opportunities for growth, and continually expanding my knowledge through education have been essential in helping me achieve my goals and navigate challenges with confidence.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to trust my own voice and never allow others to diminish the value of my perspective. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors, especially inspiring women who have shaped my growth and confidence. Their guidance and support have left a lasting impact on me, and I will always carry the lessons they shared. One mentor in particular, Nancy Canty, played a meaningful role in my journey and remains someone whose wisdom and encouragement continue to influence me.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to have confidence in their voice, trust their expertise, and never allow anyone to make them question the value of their opinions. Your perspective matters, and bringing your unique ideas, experiences, and insights to the table is one of your greatest strengths. Believe in yourself, advocate for your ideas, and remain confident in the contributions you bring to your profession.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are service, compassion, and making a positive impact on the lives of others. I constantly reflect on whether my actions have helped someone improve the quality of their life and strive to approach each day with purpose and kindness. I am deeply inspired by my mother, who earned her college degree over the course of 20 years while raising children as a single parent in the 1960s and 1970s. Her resilience, dedication, and compassion set a standard that continues to guide me, and I aspire to carry forward the same kindness and commitment she demonstrated throughout her life.
