Her Story
About afrika
Afrika ANSA began her professional journey in 1989 as a classically trained dancer who moved into music as a singer, songwriter, and producer before making a natural transition into film and television. Following the industry strikes in 2023 and the earlier impact of COVID in 2020 that reduced work opportunities in Atlanta, she started learning and applying AI tools, releasing her first AI product that year. Over the subsequent six years she has built a practice centered on AI for content creation, agents, leads, SEO, and AEO, including an AI influencer agency that licenses models for client campaigns. In parallel she continues her entertainment work as executive producer on three movies, one of which has landed on Amazon and tells the story of one of the largest slave escapes in history, as well as a popular television show. Her typical workflow involves dedicated days for research and data analysis, scripting and editing, ideation and infrastructure building, meetings, filming, and content creation, all supported by hard data. She identifies her greatest professional challenge as her own point of view and frame of reference, and she places high value on transparency, work ethic, self-love, and personal healing.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with afrika
01What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is always myself. The industry is what it is, but what makes it a challenge is how you look at it - it's because of my point of view and frame of reference.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Transparency is important. Work ethic is important. Love for self. Being healed is very very important, probably most important. Especially because when you're in the entertainment industry broken it makes you pray.
