Agatha Ogbuja is a dedicated healthcare management professional and content creator based in Somerset, New Jersey, bringing more than eight years of hands-on experience to the assisted living field. Her career journey began at the direct support level, where she developed a strong foundation in resident care before steadily working her way up through management and coordination roles. Today, she serves as a Residential Manager and Residential Service Coordinator at Delta-T Group, overseeing daily operations that include medication administration checks, staff supervision and scheduling, appointment coordination, and ensuring residents receive consistent, high-quality care. Her academic credentials reflect this specialized path, including a master's degree in Healthcare Administration and Management from Thomas Edison State University and an undergraduate degree in Archaeology and Tourism earned in her home country, alongside her CHHA license and certification as an Assisted Living Administrator.
Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Agatha has cultivated a second passion for inspiring others through digital content. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to God Almighty. My father also played a major role, as his guidance and encouragement continue to push me in a positive direction, and I still carry his advice with me today. My children are another source of motivation, since they look up to me and inspire me to lead by example.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received, and one I actively practice, is the importance of consistency, because staying consistent ultimately produces results. I also hold integrity in the highest regard; my principles remain the same regardless of the situation, and I don't compromise on that.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering this field to be hardworking and consistent, and to continually look for ways to improve themselves, even in small steps. I also strongly recommend pursuing additional training and professional development opportunities whenever possible.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I currently face is not yet being in an executive director position, largely due to a lack of direct experience in that role, even though it is a goal I am actively working toward. At the same time, I see healthcare as a field with nearly limitless opportunities for growth and advancement.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the value I hold most important in my work, as I want to be held fully accountable for everything I do. Without integrity, that accountability means nothing to me; I want people to know me as someone who is trustworthy and capable, someone with genuine integrity.
