Ten minutes with Ahana
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from passion for public health, support from my parents and family, and putting in the work. I also like nice things and experiences, and the feeling of accomplishing something.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do what makes you happy but be real about what it can give you. Pursue any career you want but be realistic because it may not pay the bills, and accept the consequences.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Public health is not easy with funding challenges, but if you are passionate about it, keep going. It is highly rewarding even if it may not be the highest paying job. Start at the bottom and work your way up.
